This is a terrific article about “teaming” in general. The main author (Jon Katzenbach) is one of the leading thinkers about teaming. This article assumes you have the right people in the right seats and Katzenbach downplays the impact that dysfunctional dynamics can have on a team. However, his work is exceptional in helping a CEO think about how to structure teams at the top. Betting on having a single “executive team” is rarely a “best practice” when approaching team development.
